Cypress

 Cypress has been easy and fun to have in the program. He has a lovely disposition, bold nature, and comfortable gaits. Even though he is green in the dressage attire, this young horse has had a well rounded start that exposed him to many new experiences early in life. He has trail ridden, has worked around cattle, has been hauled and ridden at multiple venues, outdoor and indoor. 

Cypress is light in the bridle, so light that he can school in a bit-less just as easily as in a snaffle. He feels great in the bit-less and certainly has potential to go in it full time if desired. He has a lovely, big swinging walk, rhythmic working trot, and picks up both leads with ease. He has free jumped with enthusiasm and zero stop, and has been started over small fences under saddle. He is started on basic lateral work - leg yields, sidepass, and turn around the forehand / turn on the haunches. He can be ridden Western and English, and has had a good introduction to most of the working EQ obstacles.

We can see this lovely gelding having many possibilities for a career, including:

* Dressage

* Western Dressage

* Pony Club 

* Jumping

Cypress is still green and does require someone with knowledge and ability to continue his education. He is an easy horse to train - he retains his lessons well, has not offered to buck, bolt, or rear, and is not spooky. He can have a couple of days off without any change in his behaviour or desire to please. He has been well behaved for the farrier and for all grooming/bathing/work that’s done around him. He is up to date on vaccination, dental, farrier, and deworming. He has good feet and has had no trouble staying barefoot.
